Transporterraum NYC offers the musical community an affordable, top quality recording studio, right in the heart of the fabulous East Village (home to many of us) - complete with an excellent engineering staff, and a relaxed and warm environment. Our state-of-the-art recording system features the top digital system available - a ProTools MixPlus/24 system running on a fast MacIntosh G4 computer. Additionally, we feature great preamps, including 2 Neves, GoldMic stereo vacuum tube preamp and an Avalon 737 tube preamp/compressor/equalizer. This equipment brings classic vintage warmth to the tracking process. Also, we have many excellent microphones including Neumann, Audio-Technica, Crown and others. Our live room was designed carefully and has great natural acoustics, with high ceilings and a variety of great sounding wall surfaces. All of this results in many of our clients stating that recordings they have made with us sound better than their previous recordings at many of New Yorks most revered (and expensive) studios. A word about our studio Design: Transporterraum NYC was designed by our staff and studio designers Joe and Manny Hadlock, owners of the famous Bear Creek Studio outside of Seattle, WA, and their daughter, artist/singer Anne Hadlock. We rejected the idea that the studio should be like a laboratory - cold and sterile. We designed our studio to be a warm, cozy, comfortable space - relaxing, like a livingroom. Our deep red, blue and purple walls sparkle with reflective glitter and our lava lamps, candles, christmas and colored lighting set an inspiring vibe. Please make yourself at home. |
