went to see tony levin’s band, the stickmen, on Sunday night at the Bearsville Theater.  aMazing – three virtuosos.  2 chapman stick players and the drummer.  my wife, kate, had never seen the chapman bass played before and was blown away.  she said ‘i don’t know why every musician wouldn’t want to know how to play that instrument’.  i mentioned the difficulty.  anyway, check them out if you get a chance.  it’s hard hitting, beautiful and interesting.
