Leopard Studio’s good friend Chris Bowman has started a new drums and percussion company, CHBO Drums and we are helping him get running.

Chris has designed drums for years, including some well used designs for temple blocks and wood blocks, slit drums, ago-go bells, and a whole lot of cool stuff.

For years Chris has also been amassing a lorge collection of vintage drums and percussion, such as the actual drum set used on the Howdy Doody show, including the actual drum head with Howdy Doody Show painted on, and the exact drum set used by Charlie Watts for decades now.  CHBO drums will be selling vintage and new “players kits” (as opposed to collectors, these are hot-rodded to play in todays rough and tumble environments), gongs, cymbals, his own line of sticks, and tons of world percussion instruments, plus his own designs.

His drums get us excited – for real!

Leopard Studio is again very proud of our first studio intern, Praveen Sharma, who is continuing his great musical releases with this solo record, on Supermartyr label, called 12 Lights.  This album was recorded here at Leopard Studio.

Praveen has also been doing a lot of great stuff with his very popular group Sepalcure, which is a very unique sounding electronic thing.  I’ve seen them, they really are great.

A Viberatto, the “house band” of leopard studio has finished the recording of the second album.  There are 11 tracks, all completed and mastered now.  It is time to take a deep breath.  Here is a link to our website in the meantime:  A Viberatto.com
